MORAVSKÝ KARST + LEDNICE
Czech Republic
A Land of Aristocrats, Legends & Underground Wonders

Escape Prague for a day and discover a completely different side of the Czech Republic.

From the elegant world of European aristocracy at Lednice Château to spectacular caves, the legendary Macocha Abyss and an underground river hidden beneath the Moravian landscape.
[ A PERSONAL INVITATION ]
From an aristocratic palace to a hidden world beneath the earth.
Beyond Prague lies a very different Czech Republic — a land of romantic châteaux, rolling landscapes, vineyards, old aristocratic families and extraordinary natural wonders.
One day. Two completely different worlds.
We’ll begin at magnificent Lednice Château, one of the principal residences of the princely House of Liechtenstein, and step into the world of European aristocracy.

Then the scenery changes completely. We leave palaces and landscaped gardens behind and descend into the Moravian Karst — an extraordinary underground landscape shaped by water and limestone over hundreds of thousands of years.

A NOTE FROM NATALIA
What I love about this journey is that halfway through the day, it feels almost as if we’ve travelled somewhere completely different.
We begin surrounded by elegant interiors, romantic architecture and stories of one of Europe’s great aristocratic families.

A few hours later, we’re deep beneath the earth — walking through vast caves and travelling by boat along an underground river.

That contrast is what makes this day so memorable.
[ THE EXPERIENCE ]
From the world of the Liechtensteins to the depths of the Moravian Karst.
Our first destination is Lednice Château, part of the UNESCO-listed Lednice–Valtice Cultural Landscape and one of the most remarkable aristocratic estates in Central Europe. For centuries, Lednice was one of the principal residences of the princely House of Liechtenstein.

We’ll explore the world they created here — the stories of the family, their aristocratic lifestyle and the extraordinary neo-Gothic residence surrounded by an immense landscaped park.
Lednice — aristocratic elegance & the Liechtenstein legacy.
Elegant interiors, romantic towers, sweeping gardens, ponds and picturesque architecture make Lednice feel like a place from another era. Beyond its beauty, we’ll discover the House of Liechtenstein and the remarkable estate generations of the family created in South Moravia.
Punkva Caves — an extraordinary world underground.
Then we descend into the famous Punkva Caves. We’ll walk through enormous underground chambers filled with stalactites and stalagmites, reach the bottom of the legendary Macocha Abyss — more than 130 metres deep — and take a boat ride along the underground Punkva River through narrow passages and spectacular cave formations.
[ MORE THAN SIGHTSEEING ]
Above ground. Below ground. Two completely different worlds.
By the end of the day, you’ll have experienced two sides of the Czech Republic that could hardly be more different.

Above ground: aristocratic stories, romantic architecture and the landscapes of South Moravia.
Below ground: vast caves, an underground river and the dramatic Macocha Abyss.

It’s a glimpse of the Czech Republic that many visitors to Prague never get to experience.
